NCFTA:

Counterfeit Website Gallery of Shame

The National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA), a non-profit information-sharing organization with partners in both industry and law enforcement, seeks to identify, mitigate, and neutralize cyber-crime. Previously, Jason Calhoun and Laurie Iacono of the NCFTA shared tips with BPP readers on “Leveraging Consumer Feedback to Identify and Combat Counterfeiting.” More recently, Laurie Iacono of the NCFTA shared information on “The Good, The Bad, and The Opportunity” of e-commerce at the A-CAPP Center’s 2017 Brand Protection Strategy Summit.

In this issue of the BPP, Laurie Iacono, Program Manager for the Brand and Consumer Protection Program for the NCFTA, and Christy Hacker, a Team Lead overseeing pharmaceutical fraud investigations for the NCFTA, share screenshots of a sampling of counterfeit websites they investigated or against which they assisted enforcement actions.
