We took the opportunity to merge the March edition of The Brand Protection Professional with the 2023 A-CAPP Brand Protection Strategy Summit, held March 21-23, 2023.

The theme for the “edition” was the “Intersection of Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand Protection” a topic for the BPP to explore as suggested by our esteemed Industry Advisory Board. Take a look at some of the photos of the summit sessions on that topic here – and see you back for the 28th edition, in the traditional form, to publish on June 20, 2023.

BP FORUM: The Intersection of Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand Protection

We brought three brand protection professionals together from the diverse backgrounds and industries that included agriculture/pesticides, consumer electronics, apparel/footwear and also well-honed skills in investigation, asset protection and law enforcement – to talk about the connections between corporate social responsibility and brand protection. What commenced was an engaging and educational conversation on how these focus areas interact, the opportunities for sharing of resources and cross-functional campaigns and how recognizing the intersections can strenghten both areas and add value for brands.

Deep Dive Session: ACAPP Students- Exploring Corporate Social Responsibility and Brand Loyalty from a Key Demographic

Many brands talk about Millennials and Gen Zs as consumer sectors that are vital to reach for the success of their brands. Looking at corporate social responsibility and such topics as child/slave labor, fair labor practices, environmental responsibility and compliance etc., we explored with some of our A-CAPP student interns what resonates with them in action and messaging; what they look for in purchasing products and what makes them loyal to a brand. As they always do, our student dug deep and shared with the Summit attendees answers to these questions and so much more.
