The International Intellectual Property (IP) Crime Investigators College (IIPCIC) is a multilingual, online training platform that delivers IP training to 12,500+ law enforcement officers and private sector brand protection professionals from over 144 countries. IIPCIC works with private sector brand protection teams to design custom eLearning courses that will educate global law enforcement about their specific IP challenges. More than 100 brand protection professionals, most of whom were first-time participants, attended the 2017 A-CAPP Center Brand Protection Strategy Summit. Summit themes included partnerships, return on investment, and e-commerce.
Measuring the value of brand protection is a significant challenge. A-CAPP Center researchers are researching companies’ allocation of resources to brand protection, and how they can better understand the value of brand protection. Their research focuses on adapting the cost of quality model to brand protection.
